Ohio State basketball’s Kyle Young continues to be day-to-day heading into the Big Ten Tournament


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball’s Kyle Young will still be day-to-day heading into the Big Ten Tournament. The junior forward missed the final four games of the regular season recovering from a high right ankle sprain suffered in a 79-72 win over Maryland. In his absence, the Buckeyes went 3-1 and saw the emergence of E.J. Liddell who thrived in an extended role. Head coach Chris Holtmann said that Young has still not returned to live action in practice, and his status will depend on how he performs in those settings in practice leading up to Thursday’s game against Purdue. Young played a pivotal role in OSU’s win over Purdue during the regular season with a season-high 16 points and seven rebounds.
