Grading Michigan State’s ugly loss against Ohio State


EAST LANSING – Michigan State’s last scheduled home game this season was an ugly one. The Spartans (2-4) were hammered 52-12 by No. 4 Ohio State (5-0) on Saturday in East Lansing. Coming off an upset win against Northwestern, Michigan State suffered its second defeat by at least 40 points this season and fifth straight loss against the Buckeyes. Ohio State canceled last week’s game at Illinois due to positive COVID-19 results, was without key players on both sides of the ball and head coach Ryan Day couldn’t make the trip to East Lansing. And it was still a blowout.
