A year ago, the 2020 college football season was far from certain. The COVID-19 pandemic caused lockdowns and quarantines months before the season’s planned kickoff following other sports and leagues shutting down. While the season took place, it was far from a walk in the park for many programs, including the Buckeyes. Fortunately, the 2021 season is not expected to be as difficult. Ohio State athletics head team physician, Dr. Jim Borchers, the man who played a major part in allowing not just the Scarlet and Gray but all of the Big Ten to play safely in 2021, believes the upcoming year will look much more like fans expect from a football season. “I think it’ll be a normal season,” Borchers told Bill Rabinowitz of The Columbus Dispatch recently.
